BUILT FOR YOUR DEMANDING NEEDS:
The 2420 is a full-featured terminal suited to inventory control, asset management, item tracking, maintenance management and other off-line data collection applications. It’s also built to last and can survive repeated drops to concrete that are typical of the rough environmental conditions commonly found in manufacturing, distribution, and other demanding uses.
FLEXIBLE APPLICATIONS:
With no proprietary languages to learn and support, you’re in control of the applications that can be developed for the 2420 using industry standard language tools. The task is even quicker with EZBuilder™, a rapid application development and prototyping tool that requires no programming language expertise at all. Fast data communications to a PC or host are also supported through either a portable serial adapter, a desktop communications dock, or internal modem.
FULL SHIFT POWER:
With its Lithium Ion main batteries – typically found in more expensive computers and laptop PCs – data can be collected for a normal shift or longer without a battery change. Recharge them gradually while the terminal is in the communications dock or quickly in a convenient multi-pack charger. Data will be saved for days in the event the main battery is temporarily or accidentally removed.
EXPANDABILITY:
An internal modem option provides remote dial-up access at speeds up to 33.6 Kbps.Standard memory and non-volatile storage will satisfy most application requirements. For larger files or portable databases, add 2 or 4MB memory expansion options. Transform the 2420 to a wireless terminal easily with a wireless module. Integrated scanners are replaceable modules for easier maintenance.
