SDS Protocol Box |
It has two programmable input ports, one scanner port, an SDS bus port, a dedicated scanner power port (the Protocol Box is powered by the network), and a programmable output port (for SDS protocol or the scanner). The four status lights, each with a specific function, are clearly identified and positioned on the top of the case for easy viewing. An LED will illuminate during SDS and Scanner Power, SDS activity, and communication errors.
The SDS network protocol is an entirely open standard -- it can support third party connectivity and interoperability -- at both the device and controller levels. High-level functions can be performed by sophisticated devices capable of affecting the entire system, all of which is connected to a single bus cable.
